A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Architecture, Steve practiced architecture for 20 years, 17 of which were with the firm he founded, before shifting his career to real estate development. During his career practicing architecture, he provided architectural and development services for national retailers such as Blockbuster Video, Family Dollar, TJ Maxx, Michael’s Stores, Tractor Supply Company and Whataburger Restaurants to name a few. This experience was a perfect segue into retail development in 2003.
Since then, Steve has developed more than 150 free-standing single tenant retail projects. Steve’s extensive experience in all facets of design, entitlement, permitting and construction gave him an invaluable understanding of the “nuts and bolts” of a development project, from the site selection process through construction. He draws upon this experience and know-how to deliver projects to the client on time and with few problems.
Julie graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio Texas with a degree in Communications and English. She supports the Hummel team and the client from the entitlement process through to the certificate of occupancy and wrap up of close out documents.
